Wherever Dave goes, people refer to him as 'The Book Man,' hence, the name of the store. His passion and lifelong love affair with books will be obvious to you right away! A self-taught reader, he has been voraciously consuming books since the age of four.

Amber
Co-Owner, Manager

With nearly 19 years of experience at The Book Man, Amber truly knows the store inside and out. She is a firm believer in both creating, and participating in local culture, and truly loves what she does.  Amber is the driving force behind the internet and mail order side of the business.

Ryan
Customer Service, Bookbuyer

Ryan has come back from Vancouver to help Amber carry The Book Man into its second generation. He brings a deep love of the written word, and years worth of bookstore experience with him.

Linda
Customer Service

Linda has an extraordinary knowledge of fantasy novels, and is a wonderful, peaceful soul. She is one of the hardest workers we have ever met. Linda makes essential oils and natural products on the side... if you're interested, let her know!

Customer Service

Amanda found her place at The Book Man quite easily.  Her obsession to keep the store tidy and organized, her zany humour and her long time love affair with books make her a perfect fit for our store.

Kaila
Internet Sales

After a couple of years watching Kaila be a maniac on the computer up front, we've decided to nab her for the internet office! Her flying fingers, sunny disposition, and helpful attitude make her perfect for our data entry team.

She's forever devoted to her animals, art and family.

Sheri
'Stuff 'n Things'

Sheri brings a love of literature and her fabulous personality to our bookstore. Her outside interests lie in the theatre, as an actress, and as a director. Customers refer to her as "The Stylish One" and we have to agree. She currently works in our on-line department, doing lots of "stuff 'n things!"

Head of Shipping

We are so happy to have Harry here! He is a true innovator, always improving our working environment and taking care of so many little extras that keep the bookstore running smoothly. His quirky sense of humour, and penchant for giving us treats has us saying the mantra, "We love Harry" pretty much every day!

Amanda
Head of Internet Orders

Amanda is back from her second maternity leave, with a beautiful baby girl off to a great start in life.  She's back finding and processing our customer's on-line orders, and giving us all "the look" when she's properly fed up with our shenanigans in the office.  We missed her so much, and are so glad she's back "home

Sara
Customer Service

Sara won us over with her hilarious sense of humour, her intelligence and love of books. She's hard at work learning the ropes of The Book Man. She also has a natural beauty products business on the side.

 
Emily
Data Specialist

Emily is a multi-tasker-extraordinaire! She sorts and inventories all of our new stock, enters them into our book software, and helps process internet orders. She is very involved with community theatre, both acting, and directing some very entertaining plays. She talks to herself a lot, but we don't mind.
 

 
Mary
Project Coordinator

Mary is responsible for many of the outstanding displays that you see in our windows and all over the store. She does tons of behind the scenes projects that keep our store running smoothly. Her organizational skills are unparalleled.

Buck
Custodial Engineer

Buck keeps our store nice and clean, and used to work in the retail part of our store as well. He's been with us for almost a decade.
